General Bucket Elevator Options & Features

  • Platforms
    • We offer both maintenance & rest platforms. Both fully customizable to meet application requirements. CEMA recommends landing platforms be installed at 20’ intervals along the ladder.
  • Maintenance Ladder & Cage
  • Take-ups
    • Screw type take-up frame w/ manual adjustment & 9″-12″ of travel
    • Internal gravity take-up.  Self-adjusting & dust tight
    • Head mounted take-up.  Screw type, used when boot access is limited
  • Access
    • Small hinged doors for internal observation*
    • Large bolted & removeable access panels for maintenance in boot housing
    • Split hood casing for head section maintenance*
  • Backstops
    • Internal backstop- Integrated into gearbox to prevent reverse travel of belt or chain
    • External backstop- Used for heavy loads that are not suitable for internal backstop
  • Split Sprockets
    • Allows for quicker replacement of sprockets & reduces downtime
  • Belt Splicing Kits
    • Make for quick resplices of belted elevators.  Belts typically require 1-2 resplices in the first several weeks of operation.
  • Fabricated buckets
    • These can be manufactured from any steel plate.  Commonly seen with AR400 wear strips on the lip of the bucket to increase service life.
