Continuous Elevators

These elevators primarily differentiate themselves from centrifugal elevators in two ways. They have a unique bucket geometry and they operate a lower speeds using gravity to discharge the buckets.

The lower speeds allow for ideal handling of heavy abrasive materials by having a gentler feed & discharge rate, reducing wear on both the buckets & discharge areas of the elevator. The low speed also provides the benefit of allowing sluggish materials more time to discharge.

Continuous elevators use an MF (medium front) style bucket & a tight bucket spacing that allow the discharging bucket to utilize the back side of the preceding bucket as a ramp to guide the material into the discharge.

The inlet is mounted higher on the housing compared to a centrifugal elevator. This combined with the lower speeds allow for the buckets to be directly fed with minimal spillage. Decreased spillage provides the advantage of longer bucket life by eliminating the need for the buckets to dig spilled product out of the boot housing.
